PRIMARY COLLECTION

The Society’s collection is organized into several categories. We oversee collections of textiles and clothing, quilts, antique spinning wheels, dolls, Native American artifacts, hearth and cooking implements, memorabilia of Rowayton residents, artifacts from all the American wars, Victorian furniture, maps, paintings, prints and perhaps most importantly, a collection of photographs of Rowayton from the 1860s to the present. We are actively collecting and interpreting these objects in order to better understand and preserve the history of our community.
